KKB Jogging Team Continued to Run After Goodness
KKB corporate jogging team, at Vodafone Istanbul Marathon on November 13th 2016, carried out an important social responsibility project by running 10 and 15 kilometers for the benefit of the Hope Foundation for Children with Cancer (KAÇUV) supported by the Step by Step organization. Distances at the marathon have been completed with successful times and KKB’s corporate jogging team collected 9,140 TL, the highest donation with the individual contribution of its team members, and became one of the corporations with the highest number of donators with 141 donators. As a result of these efforts, we touched the lives of ten children.
Every Step Made for Cerebral Palsy Patients Turned into Hope
Being one of Turkey’s 65 institutions to join the Steptember project, KKB ranks 15th with 8,178 TL worth of donations and 23rd with 5,252,065 steps. Thanks to these steps taken, children with cerebral palsy received 50 sessions of service in the context of Steptember. KKB Social Responsibility Club, composed of voluntary KKB employees, carried out numerous activities that would benefit every segment of the society throughout the year. Among these activities, we can cite aiding child protection agencies, co-organizing blood donation campaigns with Red Crescent, holding in-house charity bazaars, supporting animal shelters as well as donating books, magazines, DVDs and toys to those school in need. Moreover, the music band formed by KKB employees organizes donation concerts and the collected contribution has been granted to KAÇUV and Turkish Foundation for Children in Need of Protection (Koruncuk).
